Kosta is in CE1, Ania is in high school. Overnight they were placed with their families in a detention center to be expelled from French territory. For the first time, they are speaking in “Enclosed Children”, a documentary to be seen in preview on Tuesday January 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Star cinema in Strasbourg, upon registration.

Over the last 10 years, 37,000 children have been placed in administrative detention centers in France before being deported. France is one of the only countries in Europe to accommodate children in its detention centers, in conditions similar to prison conditions. Through the testimonies of children, families, doctors and lawyers, the documentary “Children locked up” raises the question of the consequences of the retention and confinement of minors, in the short and long term.

A preview screening of the documentary, in the presence of Noémie Ninnin and Sélim Benzeghia, authors-directors of the film, is organized on Tuesday January 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Star cinema in Strasbourg.
