The National Health Commission said Saturday that mainland China recorded 1,494 new cases of coronavirus on August 26, of which 300 had symptoms and 1,194 were asymptomatic.
China recorded 1,628 new cases of coronavirus the previous day, of which 312 were asymptomatic and 1,316 were asymptomatic.
China did not record any new deaths, to remain at 5,226.
As of Friday, the Chinese mainland had recorded a total of 241,648 confirmed cases with symptoms.
The capital, Beijing, recorded three local injuries, five days after no injuries were detected, according to local government data.
And the city of Shanghai, the Chinese financial center, announced the registration of a new local case of infection with symptoms like the previous day, and seven local cases without symptoms compared to one case the previous day.
