So far, China has not condemned either the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine or the annexation of occupied Ukrainian territories. At the same time, Beijing presented itself as a mediator between the conflicting parties with a controversial 12-point plan. However, experts have seen signs in the past that China is supplying military goods to Russia. However, these are mainly spare parts for drones or military equipment. In the past, Beijing has distanced itself from supplying deadly weapons to Russia. It is unclear whether this also applies to supporters of Putin, such as Kadyrov’s Chechen mercenary group.
