Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesman for the Ministry of Health, reviewed the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Population, represented by the Health Insurance Authority, in addressing blood diseases, by opening the first center for the treatment and care of hemophilia patients at the Children’s Hospital of Egypt in 2018, and it is one of the most advanced hemophilia treatment centers in the Middle East. It includes an integrated medical team trained in the latest international treatment methods, for the benefit of the injured.
He stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Health and Population to cooperate with relevant partners, locally and internationally, to launch several educational tools on the nature of the disease, how to deal and coexist with it, and direct them to the patients’ families, stressing the effective and important role of the family and the patient himself, in understanding the nature of his illness and adherence to the application of established treatment protocols..
