In Khartoum, many children with cancer can no longer be treated because of the war that has pitted the army against the rapid support force militia for more than two months. According to Unicef, at least 330 children have been killed since the start of the conflict. While 70% of hospitals in conflict zones have been destroyed, a dozen children with cancer have been evacuated two hours from the capital to try to continue their treatment.
