The Irish Sportsman Conor McGregora mixed martial arts superstar, was accused of sexually assault to a woman during a game of the nba finals last week in Miamiin the state of Florida.
ESPN and TMZ Sports cited letters from the whistleblower’s attorney stating that McGregor he “violently” assaulted her in a bathroom at the Kaseya Center during the fourth game of the Finals, which the local Heat lost against the later champions Denver Nuggets.
The star of the UFC championship is accused of “aggressively kiss” the woman before trying force her to perform various sexual acts.
McGregor, 34, denied the allegations in a statement sent to the agency. AFP by his lawyer Barbara Llanes.
“The accusations are false. Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated”stated Llanes in the text.
Miami police, for their part, limited themselves to confirming that their special victims office was investigating a complaint filed on Sunday.
“This is an open investigation, so no further information can be given at this time”said a statement from the Miami Police Department sent to AFPin which he does not mention the name of McGregor.
The Miami Heat and the NBA said they are also aware of the allegations and are conducting their own investigations.

McGregor was violent with ‘the mascot’ of the local team
McGregor’s conduct in Friday’s game had already sparked controversy over an incident he starred in during a timeout, when punched the ‘mascot’ of the Miami Heat on the courtwhich he had jumped on for a promotional ad.
The person wearing the mascot costume was transferred to a local hospital and discharged that same night after receiving pain medication.
