Consequential diseases – be careful with “delayed” colds

In myocarditis, the cells of the heart muscle tissue become inflamed. The trigger is usually an infection with pathogens, especially viruses. In many cases, heart muscle inflammation heals without consequences. However, it is important that those affected rest physically for a sufficiently long period of time. If you become active once more too early, you risk permanent damage to your heart. So if you feel exhausted, tire very easily with physical exertion and suffer from tachycardia and a feeling of pressure behind the breastbone, you should consult a doctor immediately, especially if the symptoms appear a few weeks following a cold or another infection.
