In the area between the sledding hill near the Raasik community center, private houses and Paju street, construction work began for the construction of a pump track and a bicycle training track. The Pumptrack is an asphalt-covered undulating circuit with inclines and turns, designed for use on bicycles, skateboards and scooters, but can also be completed on roller skates. Raasik’s lighted pump-track and learning track for developing cycling skills are connected to a small rest area where benches and trash cans are installed. The size of the bike park is planned to be 1,900 square meters. It will be built by Hevent Ehitus OÜ, which won the tender, and it will cost 137,778 euros. The construction is supported with 108,000 euros from the County Development Strategy Implementation (MATA) measure. The construction started by excavating the ground, then the hills are shaped using the soil and the track is covered with flexible bitumen. The pump-track must be ready by July 3 at the latest.
