A disgraceful move by Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo caused a sensation in Saudi Arabia, following his team’s victory over Al-Shabab 3-2 (Sunday), in the 21st round of the Football League.

While Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper quoted informed sources as saying that “the Disciplinary Committee will subject Ronaldo to a hearing,” the Al-Shabab Club demanded the implementation of Article (57) of the Disciplinary Regulations, which stipulates that “any person who offends the public, by action, word, or gesture, During any match, he is suspended for two matches and punished with a fine of 20,000 riyals ($5,300). The article also states that “the Committee may impose additional penalties from among the penalties mentioned in Article (10) of these regulations.”
