A famous sushi chain restaurant in Japan.

A young man steals another customer’s order of sushi from a carousel.

Since being posted on social media, the scene has been viewed more than 30 million times and has been ‘liked’ by more than 40,000 people.

However, unpleasant experiences followed one after another about similar cases that are difficult to dismiss as a simple joke.

After waiting for a long time, the sushi I ordered didn’t come, so I checked with the clerk, and there were people who were suspicious, but in the end, the clerk brought the new sushi directly to my seat.

The customers at the next table did not know how to order automatically, so they ate other people’s sushi freely.

As the controversy grows, the head office of the sushi chain restaurant is considering legal action.

“This act is an act of escaping from the environment where customers are dining with peace of mind. In the future, we plan to respond in a stern manner while consulting with the police.”

In Japan, even three years ago, a video of secretly adding more wasabi to someone else’s sushi spread and caused controversy.

A few days ago, it became controversial when it was revealed that a Korean tourist had been terrorized with wasabi at a sushi restaurant in Fukuoka.

Regarding MBC’s coverage, the restaurant apologized for the inconvenience, saying that some of the sushi at the time seemed to contain a lot of wasabi, and a customer pointed out that it was freshly made.

“(Previously) there were a lot of Koreans, but it’s true that it has decreased quite a bit because of this commotion.”

The controversy over the wasabi terror against Koreans has been repeated since it started in Osaka in 2016.

Many Korean travelers come to Japan to enjoy delicious local food.

However, there are unsavory things happening one after another at famous sushi restaurants in Japan, so we travelers need to be extra careful.
