Marcelo Urbano, a 58-year-old illiterate bricklayer, managed to verify that he is the son of the important magnate from Córdoba Eduardo Lapania thanks to a DNA test.
After years of litigation and bureaucratic processes, the Civil Justice of the Nation verified that the changarín is the biological son of the renowned businessman. Urbano, for his part, demands from his real father a millionaire figure for damages, since, throughout his life, lived in extreme poverty and could not receive the corresponding education.

Marcelo Urbano’s lawyer, Federico Crucella, told chain 3 that the hard life of the 58-year-old man is very different from that of his father and brothers, who “have accessed a better education, languages and constant travel around the world.”
Urbano’s story and paternity claim
The bricklayer’s mother worked for several years in the home of the Cordovan tycoon Lapania’s family, so during that period she maintained relations with the now businessman and became pregnant. However, the Lapania family made the decision to fire her and deny any kind of existing link.
Unable to support her son, the woman left Marcelo in the care of his grandmother, who, when he grew up, told him that his father was a millionaire.

According to what was reported by Crucella, the millionaire “never recognized Urbano despite the extrajudicial attempts that were made”, so, as a father, “he kept skipping his duties”. Despite the court ruling, Lapania continues with her denial and refuses to acknowledge Marcelo’s paternity.
For this very reason, the unrecognized son made the economic claim that could be around 200 million pesossince “one must take into account what Urbano is today and what he could have been, seeing the brothers and where they got to with the tools given to them by a man who denied them to Marcelo,” according to the lawyer.
