The media office of the Counter-Terrorism Service stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “according to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and with a qualitative effort of the intelligence and tactical units, the Counter-Terrorism Service carried out a series of fruitful duties in northern and western Iraq,” noting that “the men of the agency They began their duties in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate in the Kurdistan Region, with a joint operation that brought together our brave men and the heroes of the fight against terrorism in Sulaymaniyah.
He added, “The operation resulted in the arrest of two terrorist elements in the cities of Kalar and Bazian,” noting, “In conjunction with the operation inside Sulaymaniyah Governorate, a special unit of the Counter-Terrorism Service carried out a qualitative operation in Kirkuk Governorate, which resulted in the overthrow of a terrorist element belonging to ISIS gangs.” terrorist.”
The statement indicated, “The heroes of the intelligence service in Anbar were able to find a cache of newly stored equipment, after accurate intelligence information was received.”
