However, the figures remain very high. In the region of Bern, St. Gallen and Geneva, values ​​continue to increase. In hospitals, which always feel the waves with a certain delay, we still observe an upward trend.

According to the “Tages-Anzeiger”, there are currently as many Covid hospitalized as since the Omicron wave of March 2022.

The OFSP observes an “increasing trend”

Compared to the previous two weeks, we are currently seeing an “increasing trend in outpatient consultations due to acute respiratory infection”, announces the FOPH.

The consultation rate for flu-like illnesses is up compared to the previous two weeks.

In these cases, “SARS-CoV-2 is currently most often detected,” followed by rhinoviruses and other respiratory viruses. Mandatory laboratory reporting for influenza is still at a low level, but is clearly increasing.

Currently 633 Covid cases hospitalized

At the end of November, more than 43% of all respiratory viruses were caused by SARS-Cov-2. The number of hospitalizations due to Covid-19 currently stands at 633 people. Currently, 18 hospitals report data to monitor the development of serious illnesses.

Among them are the largest hospitals in Switzerland – the Inselspital in Bern, the University Hospitals of Geneva and the University Hospital of Zurich.
