Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior has taken strong action against drugs in Kuwait. Recently, the authorities have seized a large amount of drugs from the country. After receiving confidential information, a search was conducted in the rehab area and the native was caught with 5 liters of Gamma Hydroxy Buty.
Gamma hydroxybutyrate is used in hospitals for sedation before surgery. However, some people use them for intoxication. Meanwhile, the authorities informed that five people were arrested with several liters of GHB and Lyrica pills and packaging materials.
The arrested accused have been handed over to the concerned authorities for further action. A strong action is being taken against drugs in the country. The US FDA and UN agencies have warned against GHB and banned it worldwide. The Public Relations and Media Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs has requested to be vigilant against GHB and report if its use is noticed in the country.
