I want to thank and congratulate Dr. Roxana Chehin and Dr. Diego Ploper, professionals who make our province proud,” said Medina Ruiz.
For her part, the director of the IMMCA (Institute of Applied Molecular and Cellular Medicine), Dr. Roxana ChehinHe commented that they are a cutting-edge experiment, since they put scientists within public health. “We have been working together at Siprosa for five years, offering them our contribution with all the pre-installed capabilities we have. And we contribute to certain demands that the system may have, as in the case of the pandemic or dengue, especially in the diagnosis, ”he added.
Finally, the doctor Diego Plopper, Conicet associate researcher, works at the IMMCA and said that they are mainly dedicated to neurodegenerative diseases, seeking both diagnostic and therapeutic methods. “During the pandemic, for example, we worked to get a diagnostic test that was used here in the province. Then, we went back to study neurodegenerative diseases and we are studying new drugs that could serve as a treatment for these diseases ”, he closed.
