Scheduled to hit theaters soon, Deadpool 3 is one of the most anticipated films of the year and many Speculations circulate around production. One of them is that Professor Xavier, from X-Men, will be present in the story and will participate in the film.
Asked about the subject in an interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Patrick Stewart himself, who has played the character in theaters over the last few years, confirmed that he had negotiations with Marvel Studios.
“That’s a possibility, it’s been a process. However, the last two or three years have been difficult for actors and the industry, with the covid-19 pandemic and labor strikes”, replied Patrick Stewart during the interview.
Despite confirming negotiations with Marvel, the actor responded in a very general way and did not make it clear whether he would participate in the new film. It is worth noting that professionals cannot always reveal that they are in a project to create surprise for the public.
Still during the interview, Patrick said he feels “pretty confident” about Professor Xavier’s survival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as the plot opened up many possibilities.
Meanwhile, actor Hugh Jackman has already confirmed that he will return to play Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds continues as the protagonist of the plot. Deadpool 3, which will be directed by Shawn Levy, is scheduled for release on July 26th.
