After meeting with reporters after the press conference, Senior Spokesperson Koh Yong-jin said, “I came here to analyze and evaluate the causes of the defeat in the presidential election, and to innovate the party accordingly, but almost all the non-commissioned members had the same opinion that they did not do enough as the local elections were imminent.” He said, “The opinion was that we should not stop and go ahead with objective evaluations (for the presidential and local elections) and come up with innovative measures accordingly,” he said.
Spokesperson Koh said, “This time, in the event of a vacancy in the leadership according to the party constitution and party rules, the floor leader, who acts as the acting (party representative), only acts as an acting representative, and the non-subcommittee, which will remain until the (August) national convention, consists of the general assembly of members and the party affairs committee, if necessary. We will open up to the Central Committee to gather opinions and make a decision,” he said.
