Details of defamation of citizens enabled an Egyptian to run a contracting company in the city for 20 thousand riyals

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Ministry of Commerce defamed two citizens called “Abdullah Mu’azi Falah Al-Suhaimi” and “Taher Thayer Rashid Al-Suhaimi” after a court ruling was issued condemning them to committing the crime of covering up a resident of Egyptian nationality in an establishment engaged in contracting activities in Medina.

The details of the case relate to the existence of an irregular partnership in the facility between the two citizens and the non-Saudi without obtaining a foreign investment license, in addition to granting the non-Saudi the right to engage in commercial activity for his own account, contract and implement projects, for an amount of 20,000 riyals annually.

The details of the case proved that the undercover resident took over the management and operation of the facility’s business, disposing of it as the owner, collecting the revenue generated from the activity, and transferring funds outside Saudi Arabia by illegal methods.

The court issued a ruling fining the violators, defaming them, imprisoning them for two months, closing the facility, liquidating the activity, canceling the license, striking off the commercial register, banning from practicing the activity, and collecting zakat, fees and taxes.
