Detroit: Become Human – Tokyo Stories, a shōjo manga in the game universe of Quantic Dream unveiled

Quantic Dream currently working on Star Wars Eclipsebut also according to the rumors on projects called Spellcaster et Dreamland. It is however another of its licenses which returns to the front of the stage this week: Detroit: Become Human. The narrative game telling us the story of rebellious androids in the near future will indeed be entitled to a spin-off in sleeve.

His name is Detroit: Become Human – Tokyo Storiesis written by Kazami Sawatari (Chū Boss-san Level 99, Saikyou no Buka-tachi to Tomo ni Nishuume Totsunyuu!) and designed by Moto Sumida. He will tell us a parallel story to the one taking place in Detroit, by making us follow the android Reina in Tokyo in 2038. This robotic idol is very popular and has helped a lot in the democratization of androids in the country. But as robots begin to show emotions and will of their own, and as some humans complain of losing their jobs because of this trivialization of androids, the life of Reina and a human girl will quickly change.

Detroit: Become Human – Tokyo Stories is published on Comic Walkerthe free manga platform of Kadokawa. It is therefore a shōjodont the 29-page first chapter can be read in Japanese at this address. For the moment, the focus clearly seems to be more on the characters than the beautiful futuristic settings… The next chapter will be unveiled on August 19, 2022, and at this time, no translation into French or even English is planned.
