Did “monkeypox” really reach Lebanon?

And earlier, today, Sunday, news spread that a person named “A.B.” He contracted the aforementioned disease. However, following scrutiny and follow-up, it was found that the news was fabricated and untrue, and therefore it is not true what is said regarding the disease entering Lebanon.

Also, news spread through the “WhatsApp” application attributed to the “LBCI” channel, claiming that the first infection with the “monkeypox” virus was diagnosed in southern Lebanon for a woman coming from Africa.

The channel denied the news attributed to it, noting that it had not published any similar news on its platforms.
