Director Kannan Thamarakulam has changed his name. The name was changed before the release of the new movie ‘Varal’. Only the name ‘Kannan’ will be used in the new film. He said that according to arithmetic, only ‘Kannan’ is given in the script and the name of the country will be added in the upcoming films as before.
Kannan Thamarakulam’s first film is from Monday to Friday starring Jayaram and Rimi Tommy in the lead roles. In all the films directed so far, Thamarakkulam, the name of the country, was included. ‘Varal’ is the ninth film to be directed by Kannan. Kannan had released two films last year. The films Vidhi and Udumba were theatrical releases.
The new movie Varalil stars Anoop Menon, Prakash Raj and Sunny Wayne in the lead roles. Varal is a post-Twenty20 film starring more than 50 actors. Suresh Krishna, Harish Perady, Ranji Panicker, Senthil Krishna and Shankar Ramakrishnan are also part of the series. Anoop Menon’s ‘Varal’ is a political thriller with a story, screenplay and dialogues.
