The Chennai Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court sentenced director Linguswamy to six months imprisonment in the financial irregularities case. The court sentenced Linguswamy and his brother Subhash Chandra Bose.
Legal action against Linguswamy was initiated after the check of Rs 1.03 crore was returned. A finance company called PVP approached the court citing financial irregularities against the director and his brother. The case is that Lingusamy’s production company took a loan from their firm for the film ‘Yenniezhu Naal’ and returned a check of Rs 35 lakh.

‘Yennezhu Naal’ is a film starring Karthi and Samantha in lead roles. Linguswamy’s move is to file an appeal against the court verdict in the Madras High Court.
