The Italian conductor Riccardo Muti has tested positive for the coronavirus. The 80-year-old maestro had to cancel a concert with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra scheduled for Tuesday night in Chicago, Italian media reported. Muti is the artistic director of the orchestra.
Muti, who is showing mild symptoms, has also had to cancel four more concerts through April 12, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra said in a press release. The conductor has been vaccinated three times.
