HACA. Renewed license and new specifications for MFM Radio

It’s done! The High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA) organized this Tuesday, April 5 at its headquarters a signing ceremony for the new specifications of MFM Radio. Also, the establishment of the latter was part of the renewal by the Superior Council of Audiovisual Communication (CSCA) of the operating license of MFM Radio which had expired.

An event which took place in the presence of the members of the CSCA, in particular its Managing Director, but also the Directors of the HACA as well as the Chairman and Managing Director and the Managing Director of the company MFM RADIO TV, the latter holding said license. In detail, the new MFM Radi specificationsO maintains its vocation as a local generalist radio service, with a specific programming offer for each of the regions of the Kingdom covered by the radio.

Also, these same specifications allow MFM Radio to strengthen its commitments in terms of program ethics, thus integrating the contributions of the amendments introduced in 2015 and 2016 in Law No. 77-03 relating to Audiovisual Communication and in Law No. 11.15 on the reorganization of HACA. During this ceremony, Latifa Akharbach, President of the HACA, expressed her wishes for good continuation to MFM Radio TV and welcomed the resilience and mobilization shown by this same radio station, like the operators national audiovisual media, in a context of unprecedented economic difficulties, given the pandemic linked to Covid-19.

It also wanted MFM Radio, which was the result of the first generation of licenses granted by the HACA in 2006, to be able to capitalize on its experience to optimize the service to citizen-listeners in terms of the quality of the offer and cultural proximity. and geographic. For his part, Kamal Lahlou, Chairman and CEO of MFM RADIO TV, praised the quality of the institutional relations maintained by the HACA with all audiovisual operators, including MFM Radio TV, with the aim of working collectively consolidation of the national audiovisual landscape.

Need we remember that since 2006, when the first licenses were granted in the Kingdom, several private radio stations have emerged on the FM band, including MFM Radio. Mass radio relays which, through their interactivity and the diversity of the programs offered, have become firmly rooted in the daily lives of Moroccan listeners, allowing them in particular to be informed, to cultivate themselves, to be entertained and above all to express their opinions on the air.
