Under the suggestion of netizens, Zhang Yixuan contacted Associate Professor Zou Jiexin of Nanchang University and sent the specimens to Nanchang. Under the guidance of the other party, he further provided relevant information on the living environment and origin of this crab. It was identified as a new species of “Crane-legged Huashi Crab”.
