DJI Mini 4 Pro: Packaging leak reveals specs of Mini 3 Pro successor

2023-09-05 00:43:00

It looks like DJI is preparing the announcement of the Mini 4 Pro following months of leaks. Although DJI has not acknowledged the existence of a successor to the Mini 3 Pro, the drone has recently been presented to various regulatory bodies, indicating an imminent release. Today the site @Quadro_News obtained photos of the Mini 4 Pro packaging, confirming several features of the device.

Unsurprisingly, the Mini 4 Pro will weigh less than 250g, allowing it to meet various drone regulations. Nevertheless, the drone will feature omnidirectional active obstacle detection, as well as DJI’s usual camera software, such as Focus track and Hyperlapse. DJI estimates the autonomy of the Mini 4 Pro at 34 minutes, with a possible video transmission over 20 km in 1080p. Please note that European regulations will limit the video transmission of the Mini 4 Pro to 10 km.

Additionally, the Mini 4 Pro features a single 48MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture and 24mm equivalent focal length. So it looks like DJI’s upcoming “Pro” mini drone will retain many of its predecessor’s features, including 4K/100 FPS slow-motion video capture and HDR video support. DJI is expected to unveil the Mini 4 Pro in less than two weeks, with a September 15 launch date suggested by @Osita_LV.
