A body was taken out of the water on Wednesday morning in the Nimy-Blaton canal. After the discovery of Sylvie Vinchen’s car a few days ago, searches had already been carried out in the canal last Saturday, without success.
The information received was confirmed by Frédéric Bariseau, First Deputy Crown Prosecutor: “Yes, it’s true, a person has indeed been found dead. Analyzes are underway to find out if the person found is indeed the one who was reported missing a few days ago.
As a reminder, Sylvie Vincent left her home located rue du Bas-Coron in Péruwelz and has not appeared since.
More information to come.
