Parton revealed the matter during her appearance on BBC Radio 2 recently, saying: “This time I was invited to drink tea with Kate Middleton, but I couldn’t even go.”
And she continued, “I saw that her invitation to me was very nice and a beautiful gesture from her, and perhaps I will accept the invitation one day, that would be wonderful.”
As for the reason for her refusal, she jokingly said that Middleton “wasn’t going to promote her own rock album”, so she had no choice but not to accept the invitation.
