Washington: Reportedly, former President Donald Trump is the mastermind of the Capitol riots that took place in the United States on January 6, 2021. This is stated in the final report of the inquiry committee appointed by Congress, the US Parliament. According to the report of the committee, Trump is involved in the conspiracy of riots.

The main finding of the report is that Trump was complicit in the conspiracy and did not try to dissuade his followers from attacking the Capitol. The committee concluded that the riots challenged American democracy and threatened the lives of representatives of the people.

The nine-member committee submitted its final report after an 18-month long investigation. The report consists of eight chapters. The 814-page report was published on Thursday. Last week, the committee said it would recommend the Justice Department file three criminal charges against Trump, including solicitation of art, conspiracy and obstruction of official duties.

More than 1,000 witnesses were seen and about 10 trials were completed. Among these are those who directly participated in the riots and those who are closely related to Trump.

When Joe Biden took over as president on January 6, 2021, Trump supporters who did not accept the election defeat stormed into the administrative center and attacked. Five people died in the riots. The attack on the Capitol is regarded as the darkest day in American democracy.
