Donauinselfest holt Gold beim Austrian Event Award

The 40th edition of the Danube Island Festival impressively impressed the expert jury of the Austrian Event Award and was awarded gold in the “Corporate Public Events” category.

Vienna (OTS/SPW) – The Vienna Danube Island Festival is making history! Above all, the 40th edition, which took place last year, has once again proven that Europe’s largest open-air festival, with free admission, stands for a unique attitude to life and is an incomparable contact point for all generations. The experienced interaction of the organizers, SPÖ Vienna, Pro Event Team für Wien GmbH and the Wiener Kulturservice association as well as a large number of employees and volunteers makes the brilliant festival possible year after year. The anniversary edition did not escape the attention of the expert jury of the Austrian Event Awards and #dif23 was awarded gold in the “Corporate Public Events” category.

The first Austrian Event Award took place in 1996 and is considered the most important industry award for live marketing events in Austria. The award goes to the best Austrian events and the agencies behind them, as well as their visionary customers. At the presentation of the Austrian Event Awards 2023 on April 16, 2024 in Linz, the Pro Event Team for Vienna GmbH was represented by Managing Director Matthias Friedrich, Günther Wytrisal (Production Manager Donauinselfest), Julia Healy and Caterina Mahrer (both organization Donauinselfest) and Josef Wiedenhofer (Key Account Management & Organization Donauinselfest).

The 41st Danube Island Festival will take place this year from June 21st to 23rd under the motto “My heart beats the island”.
