Trial of September 28: judge orders closed session

The president of the Dixinn criminal court relocated to the Court of Appeal of Conakry ordered the closed session as part of the confrontation between the accused and two civil parties.

This Wednesday, April 17, the confrontations continued in court. The accused Tiegboro Camara, Colonel Blaise Goumou, Paul Mansa Guilavogui and Abdoulaye Chérif were confronted by several civil parties in this case.

Subsequently, two civil parties named Habibata Camara and Aissatou Bah requested, through their lawyer Me Halimatou Camara, to be confronted with their alleged executioners behind closed doors. As in the phase of the first statements before the court, Judge Ibrahima Sory 2 Tounkara immediately ordered the closed session.

Thus the journalists and all those present were ordered to vacate the courtroom.

It should be remembered that the closed session is provided for by the provisions of the Guinean Code of Criminal Procedure. It is applied at the request of victims and witnesses, particularly of sexual violence and other sensitive events.
