The story which was pleaded Thursday before the criminal court makes you smile. This is the story of Serge, a Ghanaian living in Grammont who cannot find work because he does not have a driving license. However, he obtained it in his native country, but his license is not valid in Belgium. Safety on public roads should not be a priority in this African country.
A look-alike
Serge doesn’t let himself go. Twelve times he tried to get his theoretical license in Belgium, but he failed. Tired of his failures, Serge had an idea: send a double in his place.
He chooses Julien, Congolese, and sends him to Mons. He was told that the French-speaking examiners were less strict than in Flanders. Serge, who has his European driving license, comes to the driving center. An employee notices something is wrong. Certainly, the two men look similar, but there are differences in the shape of the face.

A work sentence of two hundred hours is requested against Julien, who arrived by train in Mons, during the hearing. Neither man was known to the courts.
Serge still hasn’t passed his driving test but, according to his lawyer, he has the possibility of getting a job in a packaging company not far from his home and he can go there by train.
