Three people were injured as a result of the incident.

On the morning of June 9, a drone loaded with explosives, shot down by an air defense system, crashed into a residential high-rise building on Belinsky Street in Voronezh. This information was confirmed by the Governor Alexander Gusev.

Later, the head of the region specified that three people were wounded by shrapnel. The injured were provided with medical assistance on the spot, they refused hospitalization.

According to preliminary data, ten apartments were damaged. As a result of the incident, the load-bearing wall on the second floor of the house was also destroyed. Alexander Gusev said that he had given the first instructions to provide assistance to the residents of the damaged house.

“They will be provided with support, the details of which will become clear after a more detailed study of the consequences of the incident,” the governor of the Voronezh region wrote in his Telegram channel.

The management company “RIA Novosti” reported that the house was damaged from the outside between the second and third floors – the apartments and the office center were damaged.

It is assumed that the drone was flying towards the Baltimore military airfield, but was knocked off course.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin was aware of the attack.

“We know, we see reports that it was shot down, in fact, probably, an already shot down drone hit,” said Dmitry Peskov, noting that special services were working on the spot to clarify the details.

The Kremlin spokesman also called the incident an attack by Kyiv on civilian infrastructure and residential buildings.

Previously, drones attacked three Russian regions in a day. On the night and morning of June 2, drones attacked the Smolensk, Kursk and Kaluga regions, as a result no one was injured.

Recall that in the early morning of May 26, residents of Krasnodar woke up from a loud bang. Eyewitnesses shared on social networks a video with a drone that allegedly attacked a building at 54/2 Morskaya Street.

Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratiev commented on the state of emergency in the Kuban capital.

– The cause of the morning incident on Morskaya Street in the regional center was the fall of two drones. There is damage to buildings, but life-supporting infrastructure was not damaged. And most importantly, there were no casualties,” said Veniamin Kondratiev.
