What establishments stop selling alcohol during the Dry Law?

The Dry Law applies to all grocery stores, bars, cantinas, breweries, pulquerias, cabarets, discos, clubs, nightclubs, and dance halls, as well as stalls street vendors.

In the case of restaurants, the sale of alcohol is allowed as long as they follow the schedules established by their mayor’s office.

What states of Mexico apply the Dry Law during the National Holidays?

  4. Michoacan – September 16 and 30
  5. Morelos (Temixco and Cuernavaca) – September 15 and 16, from 12:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

What are the fines and penalties for not respecting the Dry Law?

In case of not respecting the Dry Law, there will be fines from 1,882 pesos and up to 2,687 pesos. Also arrests of up to 36 hours and community work (12-18 hours).
