The language learning app Duolingo released the results of a survey carried out with countries such as the United Kingdom, India, Germany, Argentina and Brazil. In 119 countries, English was the most popular language among platform users and Brazil stands out as one of the largest audiences in this regard.
In the ranking, Brazil is in fourth place, behind only India, Germany and the United Kingdom. The study calculated the average number of lessons taken by students between March and April 2023.
The survey also pointed out the main reasons why Brazilian students are interested in the application and the language. Among the main reasons are tutoring, connecting with people, preparing for travel and boosting the curriculum.
According to the platform, among the motivations, students who want to use English to connect with other people are doing more lessons per day.
