Earthquake felt by residents of Greater Cairo

An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale struck the Cyprus region, and its effects were felt by residents of some areas of Egypt, according to dozens of social media users and some media outlets.

During the last minutes, a large number of citizens circulated in most parts of the Republic, indicating that they felt a strong earthquake, as a number of Greater Cairo residents indicated in posts on the social networking site Twitter that they felt a slight earthquake.

Al-Ain and a number of platforms published the news of an earthquake in the Cyprus region, measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale, without news so far of losses in Cyprus or of subsequent aftershocks.
