With the arrival of Apple’s new, powerful desktop computer, the Mac Studio, Intel’s very own series of small desktop computers, the humble NUC, are re-emerging, according to an engadged report.
It’s basically a slightly upgraded version of last year’s NUC 11 Extreme, which was notable for being the first of its kind that might fit a full-size desktop graphics card, now featuring the NUC 12 Extreme.
It also now has 12th-generation Intel hybrid desktop processors, which promise to be a huge upgrade over last year’s CPUs.
The NUC 12 Extreme might not be as small as previous models, but it can fit into a full-size desktop GPU, and there’s some basic work you have to do yourself, like adding your own RAM, SSD, and GPU, but it can also Easily upgraded over time.
