The Egyptian Ministry of Health statement stated that this measure comes in implementation of the directives of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during the National Security Council meeting, who directed the follow-up of the health system’s preparations to deal with any medical emergency after the repercussions of the events in the Gaza Strip.
According to the statement of the Egyptian Ministry of Health, in which it confirmed that the Ministry conducted a plan to define some axes that include providing therapeutic services, whether in specialized surgeries or in the treatment of complex injuries, fractures, burns, and critical medical cases, while monitoring chronic diseases such as blood pressure, diabetes, kidney failure, and tumors, as well as Providing vaccines and oxygen cylinders to save Palestinian patients.
In this regard, according to a special statement to Youm7, Dr. Muhammad Abu Salamiya, Director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, explained the most important needs of our brothers in Palestine and Gaza, and who are the cases they wish to go to Egypt to obtain treatment.
Initially, the director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza stressed the desire to discharge the largest possible number of critically wounded patients, in order to provide the necessary medical care, and they are:
-Patients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.
-Patients with spinal injuries.
-Patients who need to undergo vascular surgery.
-Those who suffer from chest problems should undergo thoracic surgery.
-Patients who need to undergo general surgery.
-Various bone problems. In a large number of patients, their health condition requires orthopedic surgery.
-Cosmetic surgeries on the body after being exposed to many deformities.
The director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza confirmed that Palestine, especially Gaza, needs all medical aid, so that they can treat patients and provide them with medical care quickly.
