ElevenLabs Integrates with SoundCloud for Direct AI Music Publishing

Direct Publishing Integration Between ElevenMusic and SoundCloud

ElevenLabs has launched a direct integration allowing users to publish AI-generated music tracks from ElevenMusic straight to SoundCloud. This workflow eliminates the manual requirement of downloading audio files and re-uploading them to a separate platform. The feature went live for creators on November 5, as ElevenLabs reported.

Workflow Automation for Music Creators

The integration streamlines the production pipeline by embedding the distribution step within the ElevenMusic interface. Creators can now input track descriptions, select genres, and apply relevant tags before hitting a single button to push the content to their SoundCloud profile. This capability marks SoundCloud as the first external platform to support direct publishing from the ElevenMusic environment. To activate the feature, users must go to the Linked Accounts section within their personal profile settings to authorize the connection.

Incentives for SoundCloud Artist Pro Subscribers

SoundCloud is offering a three-month subscription to ElevenMusic Pro for both new and existing Artist Pro members. This promotional period includes a monthly quota of 1,000 song generations, 500 stem splits for audio tracks, and the ability to utilize five custom voice or style models. The offer remains available through October 31, 2027. Following the promotional window, the service will revert to its standard monthly fee of 9.99 U.S. dollars unless the user cancels the subscription.

Feature ElevenMusic Pro Allocation
Monthly Song Generations 1,000
Monthly Stem Splits 500
Custom Styles/Voices 5
Standard Monthly Cost 9.99 USD

ElevenMusic Tracks Carry Automated Transparency Labels

All tracks published via this integration will carry an automated label identifying them as ElevenMusic-generated content. This policy aims to maintain transparency regarding the use of AI in music creation. SoundCloud has clarified that all uploaded material must still adhere to its existing content policies, specifically regarding ownership and intellectual property claims. The integration functions as a distribution convenience rather than a legal mechanism; it does not automatically resolve copyright status or dictate specific revenue-sharing arrangements for the generated works.

ElevenLabs Drives Growth with Music Generation Tools

The move follows a period of rapid development for ElevenLabs, which introduced its inaugural music generation model in 2025. By April 2026, the company released a consumer-facing application designed for text-to-music prompts, followed by a model capable of mid-stream genre switching. According to company figures, users have produced over 25 million songs using these tools. SoundCloud Chief Executive Officer Eliah Seton noted that the partnership is intended to expand the creative possibilities for artists who use the platform to experiment and build their audience bases.

Unanswered Questions on Monetization

While the technical bridge between these two platforms simplifies the upload process, the long-term impact on creator revenue remains unclear. The current arrangement focuses on workflow efficiency rather than addressing the broader industry debate surrounding AI-generated music royalties. It is not yet known how future updates to SoundCloud’s monetization policies will treat content flagged as AI-generated through this specific API integration.
