According to him, Twitter’s claims that it is willing to provide additional information about how it tests fake accounts is not only insufficient, but also an attempt to “confuse and obfuscate” what is actually going on. In other words, Musk was concerned that Twitter was hiding the true extent of its bad accounts.
From Musk’s perspective, he needs the data to prepare for a Twitter acquisition to ensure he’s in a good position for the deal. The Tesla, SpaceX boss insists he neither needs to explain his reasons for pursuing the data nor agree to any new conditions in exchange for the information. And Twitter’s response to this matter is that it will “cooperate” with Musk to share the relevant information mentioned in the terms.
