Reading the latest «Emg Different» survey it seems that the choice not to enter the list of the «United States of Europe» will cost Action dearly. Carlo Calenda’s party stands at 3.4%, not reaching the 4% threshold necessary to enter the European Parliament in the European elections in June. This is despite the expected turnout exceeding 50% (55%). The center-right did very well with 44.5%, made up of 27.5% of Fratelli d’Italia, 8.7% of the League and 8.3% of Forza Italia-Noi Moderati. The center-left is far behind at 24.2%, the result of the sum between the 20.5% of the Democratic Party and the 3.7% of the Italian Left and the Greens. If these percentages remained, it would be good news for Elly Schlein, who by reaching the famous survival rate of 20% could keep her seat as secretary of the Democratic Party. Giuseppe Conte’s 5 Star Movement follows with 16% while the United States of Europe (Italy alive together with +Europa) reaches 5%. Michele Santoro did badly with 1.9% and Libertà di Cateno De Luca with 1.8%.
