The Emirates Post Group Company signed an agreement with Mauritius Post, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in various fields, including information and communication technology, postal services and e-commerce.
This strategic partnership, which was signed by the two sides in Dubai, is in line with the efforts made by the two sides to explore new horizons that support development in the two countries.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Shaukat Ali Soudhan, Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius to the country, Deepak Blagobin, Minister of Information Technology, Communications and Innovation of the Republic of Mauritius, Vijay Anand Ramshorn, CEO of Mauritius Post, and Abdullah Mohamed Al Ashram, CEO of Emirates Post Group.
The agreement is the best evidence of the two countries’ appreciation of the pivotal role of information and communication technology in enhancing the exchange of technical knowledge and advancing economic and social development, and in recognition of the developments achieved by the UAE in postal services and electronic commerce.
They expressed their commitment to promoting partnerships, business ventures and development in the postal and logistics sector.
Ramshorn said: The agreement enhances cooperation between the two sides in the fields of information technology, communications, postal services, e-commerce, capacity building, postal services and other related fields.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will engage in various activities, including knowledge exchange, partnerships in postage stamp issues, and support for the development of an e-commerce platform.
Al-Ashram said that the strategic partnership with Mauritius Post reinforces commitment to driving innovation and strengthening international partnerships that contribute to regional economic development. We will work to create new opportunities and provide advanced services to customers.
The cooperation of the two parties strengthens the ties between the UAE and the Republic of Mauritius, and gives additional impetus to joint projects and commercial projects, paving the way for strong regional economic growth.
