Ahmedabad: England set a target of 287 runs once morest Australia in the World Cup. After losing the toss, the Aussies went into bat and were dismissed for 286 runs in 49.3 overs. Marnus Labuschagne scored a half-century for Australia. Labuschagne was dismissed for 71 off 83 balls. Cameron Greene (47 off 52 balls), Steve Smith (44 off 52 balls) and Marcus Stoinis (35 off 32 balls) were the other top scorers.
Australia did not get off to a good start at the Narendra Modi Stadium. With the score on 11, Travis Head was dismissed by Chris Woakes.
