We have a favorite in the Houthavens, called Vessel Kitchen & Bar. You will find Vessel in the beautiful Boat&Co hotel, which has been decorated with great taste. On the terrace on the water you can enjoy the beautiful view and delicious dishes. Autumn may have officially arrived, but we like to catch those last rays of sunshine with a view over the IJ.
Vessel, Houthavens Amsterdam
We start with a bit of background information about Vessel, which is definitely not your average hotel restaurant. Guests are welcomed here seven days a week, from 7am to 10pm. On weekends you can enjoy a nice drink until 1am. You can enjoy the sun on the waterfront terrace during the day, but even when it cools down you can sit here for a snack and drink under the heaters. Breakfast, lunch, dinner: you have come to the right place for a culinary experience at any time of the day.
On to the food: this evening we will enjoy a dinner consisting of 6 courses with matching drinks. Our number one choice is the grilled cantaloupe melon with vegan feta and mustard seeds. Full of flavor and fresh at the same time. With this dish we drink a nice fresh Sauvignon Blanc. We also really like the kohlrabi with lovage and basil, and this dish is served with an equally fresh Gruner Veltliner. Finally, the dessert this evening is worth a special mention, because the mascarpone with almonds and roasted grapes is not to be missed.

When evening falls over the IJ and the lights on the terrace are turned on, we sink a little further into the lounge cushions. We can say with certainty that Vessel is a keeper on our favorites list. So go take a look for yourself, and then we have no choice but to say: bon appétit!
