Environment: we challenge you to leave your car in the garage next week!

Next week, from July 4 to 8, Maïmoun, Mayotte’s “In 1st line” lookout is launching – and launching you – the challenge of having a car-free week. The goal: to reduce its carbon footprint and save money.

Cycling, public transport, carpooling… everything is allowed except using your car alone. Mayotte’s “On the 1st line” lookout challenges you to change your mode of transport and last a week, from July 4 to 8, as she explains in the video above. Maïmoun will also carry out this challenge and will share her experience with you.

Using your car less is a good action for the planet and the climate (gasoline and diesel are fossil fuels that emit a lot of greenhouse gases), but this challenge will also allow you to save money!

From July 4 to 8, Maïmoun will also be live on the Instagram account of Outre-mer La 1ère, every evening at 8 p.m. (Mayotte time, i.e. 7 p.m. in France) in order to chat with you, tell you about his difficulties and give you his tips for succeeding in this challenge which is far from simple.

So, now it’s up to you! You too, take up the challenge and post photos and videos on Instagram with the hashtag #En1ereLigne, we will repost you. We do not tell you good road but good luck.
