“Escalation? He will pay the consequences” –

The world balance could change at any moment. More than has already happened. For hours now there have been rumors of an imminent attack by Iran. “Iran will pay the consequences for choosing to further escalate the situation.” This is the warning re-launched by the spokesperson of the Israeli Defense Forces, Daniel Hagari, in a video released after Tehran claimed responsibility for the seizure of a ship owned by an Israeli shipowner in the Strait of Hormuz, an episode to which he however does not refer. “Iran finances, trains and arms terrorist groups in the Middle East and beyond,” Hagari denounced.

“Hamas, supported by Iran, started this war on October 7; Hezbollah, supported by Iran, expanded it on October 8; and since then, Iranian-backed militias in Iraq and Syria and the Houthis, supported by Iran, in Yemen, they have transformed it into a global conflict”, accuses the IDF spokesperson, who once again defines Iran as “the largest state sponsor of terror in the world: its terror network it not only threatens the populations of Israel, Gaza, Lebanon and Syria, the Iranian regime is fueling the war in Ukraine and beyond.”

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy forces have seized an Israeli-affiliated cargo ship in the Persian Gulf. This was reported by the semi-official Iranian news agency “Tasnim”. Earlier, the UK Maritime Trade Operations Agency (Ukmto) said in a statement that a vessel was seized by unspecified “regional authorities” 50 nautical miles (92 kilometers) north-east of Emirati city of Fujairah, in the Strait of Hormuz, which connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman. Furthermore, sources quoted by the Saudi-owned pan-Arab satellite broadcaster «Al Arabiya» stated that “the merchant ship seized by Iran” in the Strait of Hormuz “is partly owned by an Israeli company”.
