Estudiantes de La Plata thrashed Vélez Sarsfield 4-1 in their debut in the Copa Libertadores

Students from La Plata beat Velez 4-1 in the first match of the two Argentine teams for Group C of the Copa Libertadores. In it Jorge Luis Hirschi Stadium (UNO), Pincha prevailed with so many of Emmanuel More, Agustín Rogel, Gustavo Del Prete and Franco Zapiolawhile Lucas Janson achieved the partial tie. For Group C made up of Estudiantes and Vélez, on Wednesday Bragantino beat Nacional de Montevideo 2-0 in Brazil.

Estudiantes was left with 3 points as well as Bragantino, but is the leader by two goals plus favor. Next Wednesday it will be tested with Nacional in Montevideo. For the League Cup, this Sunday it will be local against Central Córdoba and will seek to defend the top of Zone 2.

While Vélez will have little rest since on Saturday he will receive Boca for the domestic tournament in which he will seek to recover. For the Libertadores, in a week he will receive Bragantino.
