O Documents and Readdle took an important step towards becoming a super file management app and today won a… audio editor! According to the developer, the arrival of the function aims to simplify the organization and improve the user experience.

Documents was already widely praised for supporting music playback in the cloud and allowing you to listen to them without an internet connection. In addition, the player organizes the tracks, offering options to shuffle and repeat.

With the audio editor, the experience is even richer, allowing you to customize the files – whether it’s removing unwanted parts of a recording, eliminating silences in lectures or cutting monotonous song intros.

Users can find the editor in the options menu of any audio file. By tapping the ellipsis, you can choose “Edit Audio” and select from three options:

Cut and Edit: this feature allows you to trim the beginning, end or any section of an audio, all without the need for additional paid apps.
Remove Silence: say goodbye to silences in speeches or recordings. This tool allows you to merge sections, enhancing the audio.
Export: After editing is completed, audio files can be exported in various formats to suit individual preferences and needs.

It is worth noting that to use the audio editor you don’t have to pay anything other than the Documents subscription, as the feature is already included in the package, which costs R$53/month.

In addition to this function, the plan gives access to a set of other features, such as PDF editing and conversion tools, as well as the ability to convert videos into audios. The update is rolling out gradually to everyone starting today.
