The Director General of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE), Abderrahim El Hafidi, received a delegation from the British Ministry of Energy Security and Net Zero on Thursday in Rabat.
This meeting is part of the examination of the Xlinks Project to supply the United Kingdom with electrical energy, from renewable sources, through an underwater HVDC connection with a length of approximately 3,800 km, indicates ONEE in a statement.
On this occasion, Mr. El Hafidi reiterated the availability of the ONEE teams to support the project for its development in the best conditions, we add.
The British delegation thanked ONEE for the interest shown in this project, considered by the British government as a strategic project within the framework of cooperation between the two Kingdoms, notes the same source.
