In addition to eating grapefruit during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Chinese people also send mooncakes to each other to congratulate each other. However, a man surnamed Huang in Mainland China recently bought 800 boxes of Xuzhou specialty mooncakes and sent them to customers all over the country. Unexpectedly, the manufacturing date turned out to be 2014, nine years out of date. In response, manufacturers responded.

According to Dawan News, Huang Nan is the person in charge of a technology company, and Qishan mooncakes are well-known locally and are mainly produced by food companies such as Guanqi and Suqi. Huang Nan said that he and Guanqi bought 800 boxes of Qishan mooncakes on the 8th, and then he sent the mooncakes to customers all over the country, but something happened unexpectedly.

Huang Nan said that the customer said that the manufacturing date of the mooncakes was September 7, 2014, and most of the meat floss mooncakes were also expired. Some customers even said that their family members felt that the mooncakes did not taste right after eating them. After Huang Nan actually ate it, he also found it tasted strange. Huang Nan said that the mooncakes in 2014 did not taste too sweet, but the mooncakes produced this year are fresher and have a sweeter taste. These expired mooncakes will make customers have negative thoughts about the company.

The customer said that family members ate it and complained about problems.

In this regard, mooncake sales staff pointed out that Guanqi Company printed the wrong date on the mooncakes, and many consumers reported this. The person in charge of Guanqi Food Company also said that they have recalled the mooncakes and they are sorry for the staff error. As for how many mooncakes are being recalled? How many are printed with the wrong date? Guanqi Food Company did not say anything, but emphasized that it would coordinate with Mr. Huang for compensation follow-up.

The local market supervision department said that they were aware of the incident and would conduct quality inspections on the mooncakes and conduct further investigation. Law enforcement officials emphasized that the company was suspected of labeling false product information. After this article was exposed, many people left messages such as “The production date can be printed wrong, which shows that this company has a big problem, this is just one of them”, “I thought it was wine, the longer it is, the more valuable it becomes”, “Who knows if it is a real mistake , It’s hard to believe”, “Looking at this packaging makes me lose my appetite”.
